In the early days there was every three months a gathering of dutch fablabs in one of their labs: the Fabtable (Fabtafel in dutch). An informal meeting to get each other known and to embrace starting labs and intiatives.
Now the number of labs has has become so big that this method is no longer practical with labs from Luxemburg to Groningen and from Enschede to Bergen op Zoom.
So the fabtable now focusses on a specific theme, which is of interest to the community, like: business model, education, workshops, lab equipment or safety.
In 2015 the emphasis was on education.
The most recent fabtable was held on on Tuesday December 8, 2015 in the Waag in Amsterdam. The subject was ‘Business Models’. The conclusions can be found here.
The next fabtable will be held on May 11, 2016 at Sparklab in Rosmalen.
