Dutch fablabs embrace Project Egg
Project Egg is a worldwide collaborative project to 3D-print a whopping 4760 ‘stones’ to form a harmonious space at Dutch Design Week in October 2014.
Nearly 2000 stones have been printed up to now.
Printing 4760 unique stones entails some 40,000 hours of printing = 1666 days = 4.5 years of printing. And that before October. That can only be done as a collaborative effort.
To help – and because it is fun – Dutch FabLabs have embraced Project Egg and will print stonesĀ on their Ultimakers and other 3D-printers in the off-hours.
If you have a 3D-printer, you are most welcome to participate too.
