FabCore is a lasercutter for FabLab
The FabCore is a new 300×600 desktop lasercutter. Great for FabLabs, libraries and schools.
Over the past seven years the desktop lasercutter of choice has been the FullSpectrum 300×500. Excellent machine, but the FabCore’s capabilities exceed her in many aspects. At roughly the same price!
The FabCore runs on Windows, Mac and Linux and comes with the Lightburn lasercutting software.
It is fast because of its Ruida DSP controller. And can be operated stand-alone and via USB.
The FabCore is designed and manufactured by FabCreator in Eindhoven in the Netherlands, known for their FabKit lasercutter kit.
Here you see it at Bart Bakker’s miniFabLab. The case is powdercoated steel. Dual interlocked lid with a gas-spring. Clear control panel (I consider buttons more intuitive than a touch screen). Notice the 40W Yongli lasertube which has an integrated red dot pointer, so always aligned. The honeycomb grid is from steel, not alu, so one can use magnets to secure light material.
Update: Price is €4375 ex VAT. This includes a FabCool passive chiller (like the CW-3000), a compressor, an extractor fan and a LightBurn licence.
