Glowforge raises $ 27.9 mio in 30 days

A month ago I mentioned the Glowforge lasercutter, then just announced for $ 1995, anticipating this could be a gamechanger. Glowforge expected their crowdfunding campaign to raise $ 1 mio, they ended up with $ 27.9 mio, the biggest ‘kickstarter’ in history, beating Pebble’s $ 20.3 mio.
I ordered early one to Holland, which will cost an extra $ 954 for FedEx/DHL.
So do not be surprised if in two years time they will have set up a second production facility to supply them to Europe and Asia.
The Glowforce looks small on photos, but is actually larger than the FullSpectrum H-series desktop. More on it when it arrives at the MiniFabLab.
