Do Something ? Make Something !
Dutch newspaper Trouw this weekend pays attention to the intiative of The Guardian for a monthly supplement ‘Do Something’. A great initiative.
Surprisingly the examples Trouw mentions are about sports-oriented activities – climbing hills on a bike, skating, snowboarding, cycling to Rome – or learning a language. I think that is a too narrow scope. Certainly for people over 50.
Complement ‘Do Something’ with ‘Make Something‘ and one will not only learn how to make things, but will also acquire new skills, on which one can build further.
Making is doing and learning new things.
