Tour de FAB – by madulthood.com

Did you hear about madulthood.com ? Two american girls are cycling from Copenhagen to Barcelona. Their purpose is to prepare a documentary on the makermovement by visiting fablabs en route.  With only a basic plan about their route….

As long as they get to Barcelona end of July the labs may propell them forward. Which happens and harvests them video material full of surprises. Smart !

After FabLab Groningen they cycled to Frysklab, then Kaasfabriek Alkmaar, ZB45 Amsterdam, miniFabLab Utrecht, Amersfoort, Protospace and today – totally unexpected – the Ultimaker factory.

Which we deemed relevant as  Ultimaker, with now more than 120 people employed, started in a fablab less than 5 years ago.

And now they continue their Tour de FAB heading towards the labs in Breda, Gent, Leuven and FacLab in Paris.

As this year the Tour de France will start in Utrecht, they borrowed miniFabLabs canoe, for an evening ‘grachtentour’ to see the Grand Depart tourlogo at the Utrecht Town Hall bridge.
